We are honored to have the ability to save the legacy, work, and wood our ancestors left us throughout the countryside in the forms of the magnificent barns and homes we deconstruct. We feel that it is our obligation as a company to recycle as much of this wood as possible, not only for historical reasons, but also to minimize the impact on our environment. That’s why we regard the Mixed Species flooring option as one of our most exceptional achievements. Essentially, we throw everything but the kitchen sink at this one, including maple, beech, ash, hickory, walnut, elm, oak, cherry, chestnut, sassafras, coffee tree, and any other "odd wood" we can find to craft this beauty for you.
Each floor is unique in its design and is constructed of different woods depending on what we have available at the time an order is placed. Contact us today to discuss a flooring which cannot be duplicated.
RECLAIMED MIXED SPECIES FLOORING
We mill this floor to keep the original circle saw marks intact, and lightly sand the face and edge of each plank. The original surface mixed species flooring comes in widths of 3” - 10" and will add charm and character to your home or business.
Original Surface Mixed Species
This flooring combines the warmth and enduring qualities of up to ten indigenous reclaimed Kentucky hardwood species and creates an unparalleled welcoming environment in your home. The planks range in size from 3” - 7", so the complete aesthetic experience is further enhanced by this juxtaposition of widths, colors, and textures, while still-visible sawmarks originally made over a century ago add a historic character which enriches any space.
